This is my parents recently renovated shower room in a traditional Maltese townhouse. Renovating these houses is a big chore filling the house with dust as the sandstone walls need exposing and there are no right angles anywhere. They went for a minimalist modern scheme with a nod to the heritage tiles commonly found in these type of homes as a monochrome border. My main input here was advising them to put a long slim window into the service shaft behind the left wall. It allows light to fill the room while maintaining privacy and not affecting the facade. Styled simply with some vintage demijohns. I think they have done a great job here.
