Easy like Sunday morning. Today I just want to talk about how I love sitting down with friends and family across a table and have some great food and stimulating conversation. Nowadays it is so easy to eat dinner in front of the TV and this degrades conversation so much. Give yourself at least a day or two a week where you can sit down and chat about anything and everything with your partner and then do it with friends and family, its therapeutic and addictive! And the only distraction is the delicious food! GO ON treat yo self ;) Wall Colour is Rectory Red, and dresser is Cornforth White, both by @farrowandball All furniture is vintage and upcycled and I upholstered the chairs myself :D

Morning! Hope everyone is well. When mulling over your Saturday breakfast I invite you to look up, and specifically notice the detail of beauty around you. Here is a shot of my beloved Murano glass chandelier in the dining room with all its crazy hand blown swirls and curls. I could have gone for a more traditional light fitting in this room but thought I wanted a central piece that can be the star of the show and also a conversation point itself. See how the light filters through the numerous individual pieces of glass with their own hint of faded gold? Oh is it time for a super long relaxing soak yet! If you need me you might find me in here, with bubbles and Aretha Franklin! My childish mind thinks of these taps we installed as helicopters! I love how our tub looks out onto the gardens beyond, the big sycamore tree hosting playful squirrels and magpies. Nearly the end of the week thankfully! Any exciting plans? Hey folks! Here is a photo from the dining room. I just wanted to highlight the gorgeous Persian rug we have in here. I love its dark rich colours and how it compliments the opulence of the dining room. Whats also great about it is that due to its intricacy, stains are so difficult to see, heaven forbid you drop a pin on it as its nearly impossible to detect it. Those chairs are upholstered by yours truly. I've taken another mini shoot in this room after colour coding all the books on the shelves ( I know I know, but it looks so much easier on the eye! I couldn't just leave them!) Anyways what are you all having for dinner tonight? Here I sit eagerly awaiting spring to have sprung! I love these daffodils and how the contrast against the inky green walls. We are slowly working on restructuring the garden, which includes lifting up around a tonne of concrete slabs and my partner is researching all things lawn related. The bulbs are slowly coming out and the snowdrops remind me of what is to come. Literally cant wait for full on spring time! Any one else has these seasonal cravings? Today on #myhousethismonth is looking down. And heres a shot of the next project. The hallway refurb. A lot of peeling wallpaper to come off, replaster and repaint. Windows to be restored. Light fittings to source. Carpets to replace... ooh sounds expensive... oh well. It will make the entrance so much fresher and lovely. Have a good evening y'all
