Alright you lovely lot! You asked for it! Here's another shot of me in the finished staircase, Edinburgh press and all! The newly fitted carpet by @johnlewisandpartners is like a dream and now it's down, I cant resist just sitting on it in random places! Due to the complex shape of our staircase and how busy the walls were with the art I opted for something pale and neutral, but high on texture to keep it interesting and let the beautiful shape of the stairs shine. Don't ask how many outfits I had to change, or how many snaps I had to take to get the one that is just right. The devil is in the detail. We bought this vintage rug over some newer prices because of its fabulous Colour and design details. If you look closely it's an ever tightening ring of different borders each with their own pattern and colour combinations tying in together to create a stunning rug that has been handed down for generations to now lay on our dining room floor. Setting the stage for some great dinner parties! Always keep an eye on detail as well as the bigger picture 🧐

Am thinking of using this bedroom neither the ensuite as a guest and commandeering the top bedroom! Need to buy a console table for between the beds and some art, of and fashion some head boards! Initially I was thinking of those fabric canopies draping over the beds but as we are more likely to have adults rather than kids stay over I think I'll hold off on that idea till our family multiplies. Last night I went to the launch of @tile_giant who are launching a collection of Victorian inspired tiles based on those in this GORGEOUS building @victoriabaths. The range is aimed at the affordable market so those of you hoping for a heritage tile but don't want to burst the bank then have a look at their collection, and a proportion of the profits go to the restoration fund of this stunning building which wants to remain open for the public, and would be a crying shame if not! Don't even get me started on this radiator cover. We got it as didn't have the budget to get a beautiful cast iron radiator but these walls are being an absolute nightmare to drill through. Some of you lovely lot have sent me a bucket load of recommendations to try which I will get down to when I'm back up North. But in the mean time I've had a productive weekend meeting my new client and hashing out some plans for their home makeover. It's so satisfying when a plan comes together! The joiner wanted us to paint both inside and out the same colour and I thought it would be a great opportunity for a bit of colour pop inside! According to IG this was the best liked photo on my grid. It's one of my favourite views in the house. It's nearly constantly changing, be it the books in the dining room or the cushions on the sofas and the latest change was all the architraves and doors being painted white.
