Alright you lovely lot! You asked for it! Here's another shot of me in the finished staircase, Edinburgh press and all! The newly fitted carpet by @johnlewisandpartners is like a dream and now it's down, I cant resist just sitting on it in random places! Due to the complex shape of our staircase and how busy the walls were with the art I opted for something pale and neutral, but high on texture to keep it interesting and let the beautiful shape of the stairs shine. Don't ask how many outfits I had to change, or how many snaps I had to take to get the one that is just right. The devil is in the detail. We bought this vintage rug over some newer prices because of its fabulous Colour and design details. If you look closely it's an ever tightening ring of different borders each with their own pattern and colour combinations tying in together to create a stunning rug that has been handed down for generations to now lay on our dining room floor. Setting the stage for some great dinner parties! Always keep an eye on detail as well as the bigger picture 🧐

Lazy like Sunday Morning! So many people state how they wish they could go as bold with colours as we did, and the truth is, that the first time, it is nerve-wracking but as soon as I started slapping this paint its rich gorgeous depth enveloped me. This is such a fabulous view down the garden and it's lovely to sit here and watch the happy squirrel family living in the large sycamore at the end of the garden hop from one branch to the next, foraging for food. 🛀

And so the first day of 2019 is coming to a close. I sit here snuggled under a blanket, exhausted and full to the brim! What an eventful year it has been! And is due to be again!! Loads of exciting changes and things afoot! I'll hang onto the glow from the tree a little longer, as much as I love the Christmas season I'm very very eager for spring this year! But all in its good time! XX hope you had a joyous new year's eve xx
