Dappled light. My parents have been slowly cultivating this roof garden for a few years now. Figuring out which plants do well in the intense Maltese sun and heat. The plants must be relatively drought tolerant and due to the south facing aspect it it would bake for most of the year, this pergola has given the space much needed respite from the sun and an irrigation system has helped the potted plants to flourish. Head to my stories for a mini tour and some plants you might not have seen before.
